Learn to code early, be a winner

Dear Student

I am Manmohan Gupta, co-founder and Maths teacher in Vidyamandir Classes. Either I would have taught you Mathematics or you would have seen my videos lectures.

By now you would have appeared for all the engineering entrance exams and must have got most of your results. You will soon start the next phase of your life, your college life, where you will spend a good four interesting and fun-filled years. In college life, you will also learn skills that will help you take a job or do higher studies. One such skill that you must learn in college is Coding.

There are still few weeks left before you join your college. I know you want to enjoy this time since you had a very hectic time preparing for entrance exams. Still I would suggest don’t let this break go away. You can have fun time in college too. During this break, you should focus on learning programming/coding. In case you have already started coding in Class XI and XII, you should focus on enhancing your skills further. In schools, the focus is more on teaching language rather than problem solving whereas in the real world, you need to solve problems through code.

Why should I learn Coding?

For some of us, coding is a passion while for others, it is the road to a great career. Whichever stream you may join in college, one thing that has become imperative is that you have to be connected with coding, either directly or indirectly. Coding is the hottest skill of 21st century. Those who are planning to take CS or IT or related branches should definitely do a lot of coding while others should at least start learning to code. There is no harm in learning additional skills that can help you get lucrative jobs. You should try coding to know whether you like it or not. If you don’t like it, you can focus on acquiring other skills. It is always better to learn coding early instead of trying in later years of college. If you learn the fundamentals early, you can learn industry level courses easily in further years of college.

Why Coding Blocks?

The present structure of computer education in Universities and colleges is not aligned to the needs of the IT Industry. Teachers in colleges are good in teaching but generally they don’t focus much on problem solving through coding. So, students need to learn problem solving and develop logical thinking on their own through internet or with the help of their friends. Coding Blocks (CB) is one of the ways you can learn coding. It is an institution where you can learn how to code.

Coding Blocks was started by me in 2014 as a learning center where we teach fundamentals of programming through problem solving. The courses here are designed to ignite interest for coding and make coding fun. Here we focus a lot on problem solving. Every student is expected to solve more than 300 problems in each course using code.

Come join us

In the last four years, we have already helped more than 10,000 students achieve their goal. We promise to carve out a proper learning path for you. We will help you build logical thinking and teach you how to convert logics into code, teach you Object Oriented programming which is core of every language, Data Structures and Algorithms. We will move you to the next level where you can learn Industry level courses like Web Development, Android Apps, Machine Learning etc.

Since you are just moving into college, if you happen to stay around Delhi-NCR, you can join us in Weekend Classroom programs in our centres (locations listed below) into any of the following courses, which will start in August.
