There’s no substitute for hard work”…

Yes! We have been hearing this from our childhood, which undoubtedly held it’s relevance throughout all the phases of our lives.. However, in this rat-race age of competition, one needs to tackle things not only by means of hard work, but “smart work” too! This is extremely important for the students, who have to juggle board exams , along with that of competitive exams like JEE or NEET…Sounds difficult? Yes, it is though a bit, but never impossible. And by never impossible, I mean that you can successfully come out with flying colors in both, if you follow some steps and keep yourself focused and determined. So, let’s chalk those steps out one by one :

PLAN A SCHEDULE , SAY YES TO SMART WORK

This is the foremost point which needs to well chalked out. Make yourself a routine, with slots for each subject , with twice a week keeping the same for board preparations…. While planning the schedule, you have to keep in mind about your school hours too. Further, your plan shouldn’t be over planned that’s, your daily schedule or routine should help yourself out instead of making you over burdened. So work hardly but smartly!

UTILISE YOUR SCHOOL HOURS EFFECTIVELY
When in school, try to focus and utilize the school hours exclusively for board preparations. Be very attentive during classes , so that you can well sort out and understand the concepts therein itself and don’t need to make extra efforts for them , while studying at home. This will not only save your time for JEE/ NEET preparations, but also make your bases strong for board exams.

MAKE NCERT BOOKS YOUR BEST FRIEND
NCERT forms the crux of both board as well as Engineering and Medical entrance exams and following the same thoroughly would definitely give you an extra edge in both the exams. Most of the chapters and concepts are common for both and hence if you can master them, you would surely be ahead of the race!

REVISE , REVISE AND REVISE

There’s no alternative to revision and so keep on revising till the last day. Since board exams focus more on theoretical knowledge and JEE/ NEET, on practical applications, revise theoretical concepts first and then try to focus on their applications part. Solve the test series, key questions and work books as much as you can. Learn from your previous mistakes and make a note of important formulas and diagrams. Go through these once every day to keep your memorizing and preparations afresh .

CHOOSE YOUR GUIDANCE WISELY

You need a guidance , especially for JEE/ NEET preparations. Hence choose the same wisely… Go for that coaching/ guidance institute, that will take care of both of your JEE/ NEET preparations along with your board exams, simultaneously

FOCUS ONE AT A TIME
Focus on one work at a time. If you are through your board exams, put all your efforts in that or if you are preparing for JEE/ NEET exams, then concentrate all on that.. Don’t shuffle between the two at the same time. Devote yourself in preparation of one at a time.

DISTRACT YOURSELF FROM SOCIAL MEDIA

Yes, the alluring world of Social Media is sometimes hard to ignore.. However to make your dreams come true, it’s better to distract yourself from all kinds of social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. Though you can utilize your smartphone sometimes for the purpose of your studies, but say a BIG NO to all kinds of chats and Social Media posts.

NEVER LET STRESS ENGULF YOU
Engulf yourself in your studies, but never let stress engulf or overburden you. Destress yourself by tuning into your favorite music once in a day, or by meditating in the morning time or by simply chatting with your family members. Take a proper sleep of atleast 8 hours in the night to keep you motivated for the next day. Remember that, a stressful preparation can never fetch you fruitful results.
