Lately many coaching centers are showing big advertisements in local newspapers where they show their top selections in IITJEE 2009 result. Many students and their parents believe that these selections are from Delhi zone as they are advertised by local coaching centers. Even many parents are thinking they are more their classroom programs. This is totally a wrong and misleading picture. Most of these selections are from other states (mostly south and west India) and from programs like Test Series, Rankers file etc in which these coaching centers don’t teach anything.
Here we want to highlight the true picture of top ranks in IITJEE 2009. Every parent and student must know about this so that data provided by other coaching centers should not mislead them.
Also through this we want to open the eyes of those who have misconception that VMC does not produce top ranks as compared to other coaching centers. It is also a must read for those who don’t trust the authenticity, methodologies and innovations of VMC.
Here we will present the data of VMC selections in Top 300 and selections by all other coaching institutes and their branches together (including people who do self study or study from local teachers). We will give comparative based on Delhi-NCR data and as well as complete Delhi zone data. We will also provide the supporting data so that people should see the authenticity of these findings.
In this comparative we will count our selections from our classroom programs only (Reg and ECC – those who took guidance for 2 years in VMC). We don’t want to mislead people like others by showing most of the selections from either test series or ranker’s file or problem packages.
Delhi NCR : Comparison between VMC and others coaching institutes
As you know, VMC is a local coaching institute having only 1 center in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi. Majority of students (90%) who approach for coaching are from Delhi or neighboring cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon. VMC select students from these people and give coaching. If you look at the data, in IITJEE 2009, total selection in top 300 from Delhi region is 24 and out of them 12 (50%) are from VMC classroom courses (REG and ECC).
What does it mean? It means VMC still produces 50% of the toppers in Delhi-NCR and all coaching centers and their branches together are just able to produce the remaining 50% of the toppers. This clearly shows that VMC’s guidance, philosophy and teaching methodologies are producing best results.

Complete Delhi Zone : Comparison between VMC and others coaching institutes
I also want to highlight that VMC is not just producing toppers in Delhi-NCR region but also in complete Delhi-Zone. 40% of the top 300 selection in complete Delhi zone are from VMC. Delhi zone includes cities like Delhi, Mathura, Jammu, Agra, Gwalior, Palampur, Shimla, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida etc. It is shocking that VMC could produce 40% top selections in Delhi zone even though there was not a single student studying in VMC from half of these cities. It shows VMC has no competitor in complete Delhi zone.
