Celebrated on the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of free India, 11th November is a very special day for all of us. Education defines the boundaries and growth of a country. An education speaks volumes of the thought process of an individual that catapults by reaching the masses and leaving an unimaginable impact. An impact that has the ability to change the entire face of a nation. Azad, during his tenure from 15th August 1947 to 2nd February 1958 promoted research in learning and literature and set up the academics to learn and understand fine arts. He also started the work on the compilation of technical terms in Hindi on a rather large scale.
Abdul Kalaam Maulana Azad’s contribution to raising the quality of education was remarkable. The foundation that was laid down by him, which is followed even today, was the foresight of a man who could see the future.
National Education Day is an endeavor that pertains to addressing any education-related issues and changes or alterations to be made. In order to bring about an effective marking, National Education Day each year has a different theme. This enables the concerning bodies to focus on specific topics or scenarios. Similarly, this year’s theme is Recover and Revitalize Education For The Covid-19 Generation that has been proclaimed by UNESCO(UNITED NATIONS). It talks of welcoming education back after the massive lag that was caused by the pandemic. The entire world was encapsulated after Corona Virus hit first in China, shutting all its schools indefinitely.
The loss was immense, but the repairs had to be made. And this year’s theme is an effort to re-establish and re-do what all was shattered.
Covid-19 Generation is not a term any of us would like to associate with, but the fact remains that we have all been affected by the pandemic that shook us to the core. We were jolted and jostled. Many of us lost our loved ones while others couldn’t get rid of the fear of Covid.
Vidyamandir Classes was also impacted by the ruthless Covid-19. The entire team never gave up and we had shifted our offline classes to online sessions in a total of 24hours. Was an accomplishment for all of us because the loss and suffering of students were not acceptable at any cost. Our budding engineers and medical students continued with their course with absolute ease and comfort. The very apt theme fits us beautifully because with enriched vigor and positivity today VMC is successfully carrying out its sessions in both online and offline mode.
Revitalizing the human spirit is not an easy task but in order to gain victory over the pandemic we all need to join hands and take a resolve that together we will fight it and the menace that has been caused by Covid-19, shall be reversed.
LET US HONOR OURSELVES BY GETTING AN EDUCATION!
STAY HEALTHY. STAY SAFE!
