After JEE & NEET, it’s time today to talk about CUCET OR  CU-CET—- the BIG DADDY that has taken over in the new education era.

1) WHAT DOES  CU-CET STAND FOR? 

The abbreviation CU-CET OR CUCET stands for Central Universities Common Entrance Test.

2) WHY CU-CET?

🌠 CUCET is an ALL-INDIA Test;   ORGANIZED  for ADMISSION  to various INTEGRATED / UNDER-GRADUATE;  POST GRADUATE; INTEGRATED M.SC,  B.Tec, M.Tec, B.Ed;  M.Phil; MANAGEMENT;

Ph.D.  RESEARCH PROGRAMMES ; 

PG -Diploma PROGRAMMES; B.VOC; MCA; LLB or any other general course(s),

in  Central Universities & few State Universities of India. 

🌠 It is a joint venture of CUs across India ;

🌠It is  ORGANIZED by CENTRAL Universities of India for admission to around 408 courses offered by them.

* CU-CET is very much compulsory for those who desire to seek admission to different UnderGraduate and Postgraduate Courses offered by the Central universities; especially in streams like ENGINEERING, DOCTORAL & MANAGEMENT. A candidate must have passed Class XII (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized education Board. If the respective Board awards grades (or CGPA), the conversion factor is given by the Board must be used to compute the percentage 

3) HOW CAN YOU APPEAR FOR THIS TEST?

It is a UNIVERSITY- LEVEL  entrance test CONDUCTED  ONLINE; followed by COUNSELLING; organized by Central Universities (CU) for ADMISSION to their various courses.

5) WHAT ELIGIBILITY IS REQUIRED TO APPEAR ON CU-CET? 

* To appear in CUCET, a candidate must have to pass Class XII (10+2) or Equivalent from a Recognized Education Board. 

If any Board AWARDS GRADES (or CGPA), the CONVERSION factor given by the Board must be used to COMPUTE the %age. 

** One needs to secure a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12th for the General category  & 45% marks for SC/ST candidates. 

6) WHAT IS ASKED IN CUCET?

The topics tested in CUCET are:—  

✡ PART — A

Comprising a total of 25 MCQs TESTING:—

🔹General Awareness, 

🔹English Language, 

🔹Analytical Skills, 

🔹Mathematical Aptitude, 

✡ PART–  B 

  With 75 MCQs. 

   This section will test the  domain knowledge

7) WHO CONDUCTS CUCET/ CU-CET?

The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous & self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent & international standards tests.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been assigned the task of conducting the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CU-CET) .

8) WHAT IS THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE EXAM?

The difficulty level of the exam is; in general; MODERATE  to  TOUGH.

National Testing Agency will release the CUCET 2022 APPLICATION FORM in 

July 2022; at cucet.nta.nic.in. 

The last date to fill CUCET 2022  APPLICATION FORM will be August 2022. 

As per the recent reports, 12 other CUs & Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University are also expected to join CUCET exam for admission to academic session 2022-23. 

The 12 universities are:– 

The Central University of Haryana, 

The Central University of Andhra Pradesh, 

The Central University of Gujarat, 

The Central University of Jharkhand, 

The Central University of Jammu, 

The Central University of Karnataka, 

The Central University of Kerala, 

The Central University of Punjab, 

The Central University of Rajasthan, 

The Central University of South Bihar, 

The Central University of Tamil Nadu and

 Assam University at Silchar.

CUCET exam 2022 will be conducted in around 154  Exam Centres around the country {154 (UG) courses &308 (PG) courses }.

The CUCET 2022 will be held in September 2022. 

The CUCET admit card 2022 will be released in September in online mode. 

The CUCET result for the entrance exam will be announced in October 2022 in ONLINE MODE.

 Every participating institute will conduct its own CUCET counseling process for the allocation of seats.

No. of session/attempts = 2 .

The language will be ENGLISH.

Duration = Two hours.

Results available are likely to be in Oct 2022.
