The Central Board of Secondary Education will start offering psychological counselling to Class 10 and 12 board exam candidates from January 9, 2023.
“For the first time after COVID, the CBSE class X and XII annual examinations will be held in the usual physical mode.” The candidates will turn up for the written examination after almost two years. For the convenience of the students, the board has already made the sample questions, the exam structure, and the mark distribution available on the website. The counseling facility, which previously started in February, will now start in January this year in order to offer psychological assistance and solutions to the pupils, the board announced.
According to CBSE, the primary method of counselling is a free, 24-hour IVRS facility. You can use it by dialing 1800-11-8004 for parents and students.
The frequently asked questions (FAQs), COVID prevention, key contact information for CBSE offices, and other material about stress-free exam preparation, time management, and other topics are accessible in Hindi and English through this, according to CBSE. The official website of the CBSE, cbse.gov.in, also offers bilingual podcasts on the same topics.
The CBSE will also provide free telephone counselling at 1800-11-8004 from Monday through Saturday between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
This year, the facility is being provided by 84 principals and counsellors from India and other countries. According to CBSE, 73 of these principals and counsellors are from India, and 11 are located in Nepal, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Singapore.
