On April 13, 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the sixth day of JEE Main Session 2 exam. At nine in the morning, the test began. According to students’ initial reviews, Physics was the easiest of the three subjects, while Mathematics was rather difficult. The students rated this paper’s overall difficulty as moderate.

Nearly all of the CBSE Board’s Class XI and XII chapters were covered by the questions. In terms of chapter covering, the paper is balanced according to the students. A select few students stated that this paper was slightly more difficult than the physics and chemistry paper that was held on April 11th and 12th, 2023.

JEE Main Paper Analysis for April 13

Mathematics: Moderately Difficult. All chapters were covered in the questions, however, Co-ordinate Geometry and Algebra received the most attention. Questions with mixed concepts based on parabolas, circles, ellipses, and hyperbolas were asked. Complex Numbers, Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Matrices & Determinants, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Vectors (2 questions), and 3 D Geometry (3 questions) were the chapters in Algebra that were covered. Functions, Indefinite Integrals, Derivative Application, Area, and Differential Equations are all covered in calculus. Long calculations could be found in the numerical section. Some of the questions were deemed to be tricky.

Physics: Easy level. There were questions about rotational motion, EM waves, electrostatics, communication systems, magnetism, AC circuits, current electricity, error analysis, work power & energy, SHM & waves, modern physics, and wave optics. Questions with a numerical focus were lengthy yet simple. According to the pupils, this section was balanced overall.

Chemistry: Easy to Moderate Level Chemistry. Physical Chemistry was less important than inorganic and organic chemistry. Physical Chemistry – Solutions, Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, and Ionic Equilibrium were the main subjects of the numerically based problems. Additionally, questions from the S&P block, Coordination Compounds, Surface Chemistry, Ores & Metallurgy, and others were asked. In Organic Chemistry, questions including Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Aryl & Alkyl Halides, GOC, and Polymers were mixed-concept problems. Chemistry was described as difficult and time-consuming by several students.
