In the world of engineering education in India, IIT-Bombay has maintained its position as the top choice for the brightest minds. The recently released Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) data reveals that IIT-Bombay remains the preferred destination for the majority of top rankers in the JEE-Advanced examination. The JoSAA released the first six allotment lists, marking the beginning of the joint counseling process for admission to IITs, NITs, and IIITs. A total of 2,15,917 candidates have registered for the joint counseling process, out of which 1,63,744 are boys, 52,170 are girls, and three identify as transgender. Interestingly, IIT-Kharagpur has received the maximum number of applications, even though IIT-Bombay remains the preferred choice among JEE-Advanced qualifiers.
