On November 14th, Children’s Day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister. Children’s Day is often referred to as “Bal Din” in Hindi. In order for our country to have a more promising future, Pandit Nehru had a vision for improving the future of the children in this country. His birthday is observed as Children’s Day to honor his love of children and to remind the nation of its responsibility to provide the desired living conditions and a better future for our children, as this had been his ambition. On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to working to achieve the objective of raising better children for a brighter future.

What is the purpose of Children’s Day?

As was previously mentioned, India has honored Pandit Nehru’s birthday as Children’s Day since 1963. This day honors the resolution of a leader who created the groundwork for a fledgling nation to become the powerful world force it is today, in addition to renewing the commitment to protect and prepare the future of our children.

Children’s Day is observed in what ways?

Children’s Day is observed by all schools with cultural events and programmes. In reality, youngsters organize and run the majority of them. Children receive gifts on this day, and restrictions in schools are reduced so that children can enjoy themselves. Then there are cultural and corporate institutions that organize tournaments for kids.

Things to Do on Children’s Day

Naturally, kids look forward to this day when they can take part in debates, quizzes, elocutions, skits, and other cultural activities. They celebrate this day by being taken to lunch or a movie, and they can enjoy a fun day out. Then, in the majority of schools, teachers come together to give their kids a surprise event. To the delight of the students who have always seen their teachers in a serious attitude, they perform a song or dance, a play, or a dramatic skit.

Finally, it may be said that children bring joy to people’s life. They are among God’s most joyful creations, and by virtue of their angelic presence, they provide joy to others. Their purity seeps into our life and fills it with the radiant light of unbridled delight. As we reach adulthood, there are many factors that complicate our lives, and children may serve as a gentle reminder of how life can be lived simply and joyfully. Thus, Children’s Day serves as a reminder of the types of people we can choose to be in order to live happy and peaceful lives. Alternatively, this can also be seen as a time to rejoice and remind us of our duties to our own and other’s children, who are the future of our country and society as a whole, and how concerned or aggressive we are in achieving them.
