On Friday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 12 Board exam results. The result has been made public on the official websites, cbse.gov.in and cbse.nic.in.

The pass percentage for the Class 12 Board exam was 87.33%, which is a significant improvement over the pre-Covid pass percentage of 83.40% in 2019. This is a commendable feat considering the challenges faced by students due to the pandemic and the shift towards online learning.

In a move to discourage unhealthy competition, the Board has decided not to award first, second, or third divisions to students this year. Instead, it will issue merit certificates to 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in their subjects. This decision has been applauded by many educators and parents, who believe that this will promote a healthy learning environment and reduce the stress and pressure on students.

How Can You Check the Results?

  • To check their results, students need to log on to any one of the official websites.
  • Enter the roll number, admit card ID, or school number.
  • After submitting the details, the result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Students can download their results for their convenience.

Additionally, the results will be available on DigiLocker, a government service for storing important documents digitally. However, students need to activate their DigiLocker account before the results are announced. Students can seek help from their schools in this regard.

Class 12 board examinations were held from February 15 to April 5, 2023, while the CBSE Class 10 board exams were held from February 15 to March 21, 2023.

Additionally, it should be noted that between January 2 and January 14 of this year, the CBSE held the practical exams for classes 10 and 12.
