What does it take to be a champion? Desire, dedication, determination, concentration and the will to win.

– Patty Berg

Oblivion to the realization, we all are competing for something or the other all through our days and life. Be it with our peers for the top rank in JEE, NEET or other competitive exams, or with ourselves to become a best version of ourselves; the constant struggle to prove oneself at almost every step of life could be perplexing. However, in truth, our only competition should be with our previous self and all the other opportunities should be only considered as a means to our improvement. From waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night, our only motive should be to compete like a champion- not with anybody but with oneself.

Here are few steps that you could adopt on your path to accomplishment and success.

  • Have a plan for the day: You might want to agree on the fact that the most unproductive days are the ones for which you don’t have a plan. Henceforth, it’s quite important for you to jot down goals that you want to achieve for the rest of the week and then, at the grittier level, emphasize the tasks that you want to achieve each day. You can opt to assign a time slot for each task or subjects you would want to complete that day.
  • Keep believing yourself: There are two ways wherein you can be optimistic for life. First, essentially speaking the positive words to yourself. Second, conveying the positive words from your mind into the subconscious mind through “the inner-voice inside your head”. Both are instrumental in building conviction and can fuel your success to a great extent.
  • Adopt breaks timely: There are no two roads about the reality that adopting breaks timely can hone your focus and elevate your ability to perform. Therefore, take some time to walk around and de-clutter your mind; to chill and relax. The change will give you fresh perspective and energy to deal and get on with your chores.
  • Give your 100%: Your attitude and effort are the only two things that are under your control. And somehow, the only two things that contributes tremendously towards your success. You can achieve whatever you set your heart to, when you have a positive, passionate attitude and you’re willing to give your 100%. You might not always feel like chasing your desires, nevertheless, put your best foot forward to everything that you do.
  • Rest and re-charge: Never undervalue the power of resting your mind and body, they are indispensable for living a prosperous life. An adequate amount of rest and sleep is fundamental to our health and potency.
