According to the Public Announcement dated: 9 February 2023, the National Testing Agency has begun the process of inviting online application forms for the Common University Entrance Exam [CUET (UG) – 2023].
For admission to undergraduate programs at Central Universities under the Ministry of Education, as well as other participating Universities, Institutes, Organizations, and Autonomous Colleges under the Ministry of Education and UGC, CUET (UG) – 2023 is being held.
Also, it should be noted that the university, organization, or institution may have separate admission policies for foreign candidates, NRI applicants, and OCI applicants. These applicants must also review the university/institution/website(s) organization’s to learn more about their policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences, etc.
Candidates must choose their nationality from the dropdown menu in the CUET (UG) 2023 online application form, which is either Indian, OCI, NRI, or Foreign. According to information provided on the CUET website, CUET (UG) – 2023 will also be held in 24 cities outside of India in order to assist Foreign, OCI, and NRI Applicants.
The chairperson of the UGC, Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, stated that candidates who are international applicants, NRIs, or citizens of other countries may also apply for the CUET (UG) – 2023 and appear in any of the aforementioned locations outside of India. However, it is recommended for all foreign applicants, NRIs, and OCIs to go to the university’s or organization’s website, read their pertinent policies, and follow their instructions. Through its “Guidelines for Admission and Supernumerary Seats of International Students in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs in Higher Educational Institutions in India” document, dated September 30, 2022, the UGC also informed all universities that HEIs could use a transparent admissions procedure to admit international students. The CUET scores are not necessary in these circumstances. In all undergraduate and graduate degrees, there are 25% extra seats available for foreign students. Each faculty member in the PhD program may enroll up to an additional two students in addition to the UGC-mandated maximum.
All undergraduate admissions at the University of Delhi will be based on the results of the CUET (UG)-2023, with the exception of admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), and Foreign Nationals.
The CUET website, https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/, and NTA website, https://nta.ac.in/, should also be checked by candidates for the most recent exam updates.
