Contrary to the popular belief that aging is something that comes naturally and is inevitable, here is a man who has fought these preconceived notions and claims that the physics behind the human body can be well controlled with time.

Deepak Chopra was a young man when he completed his education from AIIMS, New Delhi in 1969, inclined towards the study of the basis of thoughts and emotions and their influence on an individual, named neuroendocrinology in scientific terms. This inclination drove him towards the US for higher studies which lead him on to teaching in the top universities of the world like Harvard and Boston Universities, etc.

His thinking changed towards medicine when he met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who created a technique named Transcendental Meditation which is a form of deep meditation that promotes awareness of self, access to higher levels of the subconscious, and helps in reducing the risks of heart diseases and high blood pressure.

Deepak became involved in this practice that eventually led him to chair ayurvedic organizations in India as well the US to founding his own Chopra Centre for Wellbeing.

His theories have seen backlash from all around the world and from experts in their fields. He has the belief that aging is a learned behavior that can be slowed or prevented, consciousness is the key to evolution, that quantum entanglement links everything to the universe, which he clearly stated in his book Quantum Healing.

A person who defies every logical thing we have known about science and its aspect gained so much counter criticism that led him on to the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1993.

According to an ordinary individual, ailments and illnesses are inevitable, aging is destined and there is no higher self. But Deepak is a man, who from his philosophies and theories proves many of the biologists and scientists wrong and has been termed by the flagbearer of pseudoscience.

Kudos to us Indians all around the world one can hate us or love us but can never ignore us. As contradictory as Chopra sounds he sure is fascinating, on his special day 22nd October we wish him a very Happy Birthday and cheers to him for living more than 100 years using his own quantum entanglement!

The best judge of one’s body is oneself, who gets what kind of peace and satisfaction can only be determined by an individual after deep-diving into their inner self.

Concluding it with a quote by the man himself to be understood however one may think of it,

“In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you”
