Dear Student
The festival of lights, Deepawali is here and we pray, this auspicious occasion brightens up your life with joy and success. While this festival marks the victory of good over evil, it for us also signifies that we have to won over our negativities and fear as JEE is fast approaching.
You all must be aware that JEE Mains Application forms have been launched for registration few days back. With change in the pattern of examination this year, students have doubts and we think the biggest of them is what mode of examination should be chosen, ‘Online-Computer based mode’ or ‘Offline – Pen and paper mode’.
We would like to suggest you to consider the ‘Online-Computer based’ mode of examination without any apprehensions or fear. It is no different than the ‘Offline – Pen and paper’ mode. All that changes is the way you are viewing and answering the questions. Mostly people think that Pen and paper based approach is better and should be opted for, since the student practices for the examination in this way only. Because of this, there is a stampede for the Offline centres leading to huge traffic congestion problems while reaching the centres on the day of the examination. There is also no surety that you would get centre of your choice, which is why in the Registration form, you are asked to fill four centres if you choose the Offline mode of examination. For Delhi – NCR students, only two cities are available (Faridabad and Gurgaon). If seats are not available, there is a chance that you might have to go to another city for taking the examination.
At Vidyamandir, we expected the examination to shift from the Pen and paper mode to Computer based test mode long back and have already geared you for the same. The Testroom software and Online chapter tests we give you are ample to give you a real time simulation of the computer based testing approach. We would also like to add that ‘Pen and paper based approach is used as a first step towards learning since students read and practice from the books and this mode of learning takes the least time. Following this mode, we give you Online chapter tests so that we become well versed with Computer based testing methodology as well’. During the last few months of your JEE preparation course at Vidyamandir, we give you a number of Computer based tests so that you are all set to face the final examination in any mode.
Starting next week, we will be adding tests to your account so that you can accomplish yourself with this methodology. We will be adding almost 6-7 IITJEE and AIEEE Previous papers in the first go and then every week, we will add one mock test for JEE Mains. This Mock test will make sure that we do justice to the changed pattern, wherein JEE Mains now becomes the Qualifying paper for the JEE Advanced examination. This will be followed by Mock tests for JEE Advanced as well.
You should consider the Online – Computer based testing mode strongly without any apprehensions and be confident that you have geared up for it. Vidyamandir stands with you and will make sure you come up with flying colors in JEE.
In case you feel you have any doubts or need clarification or assistance, please feel free to write to us at newjee2013@vidyamandir.com and we will be glad to assist you. You can also get in touch with your Centre staff or teachers for assistance.
Wishing you and your family A Very Happy Greetings for Deepawali.
With Love & Regards
The VMC Team
P.S. The students who live in Faridabad & Gurgoan are however advised to take the Main Exam Offine.
