We are all going through the toughest phase of human existence . The Pandemic of Covid-19 has nearly put our lives to a standstill. The outbreak of this virus has led to the closure of normalized activities, of a regularised educational system and has postponed many significant competitive examinations including JEE and NEET. This has massively created a negative impact on the minds of the aspirants regarding the uncertainty of their future, leading to stresses, pessimism , fear and strains to engulf them miserably. Unfortunately, at this juncture, if the students , the aspirants get stressed out , it would never bring desired results , rather there would be high chances of uncanny happenings. It’s true that your worriedness do have grounds, but then you should remember that your exams are only postponed and taking a little longer time however it’s still knocking at your doors. Therefore , you should utilise this time utmost , keeping no worries at all.. Here lies some important tips specially for you, the JEE/ NEET aspirants of 2020 , to overcome stress and come out with flying colours:
• Give Your Learnings a Breakthrough: Since due to the lockdown almost all classes are now being conducted through online mode. This is though beneficial, is creating strains on eyesight. Hence it’s advisable to have sufficient breaks between your online classes. Don’t sit at a stretch in front of your system . This can not only have pressure on your eyes, but also your body may feel pained and get tired. Get a walk around your house after an interval of every 30 minutes. Wash your eyes frequently. This will also help to keep the lustre of eyes and to have proper sleep.
• Choose Online Classes Wisely : Host of online classes: host of stresses upon students. Yes , with the onset of lockdown , there has been a plethora of online classes going on by every single institute for the upcoming exams. Hence it’s utmost important to go for the right online classes which should facilitate your learning without creating a burden! It’s also important to check at this juncture as to whether the same is flexible enough to meet your needs and conveniences and guiding you to the right track or not.
• Meditation and Yoga for a fit mind: Make provisions for regular exercise, meditation and yoga. These will help you to stay calm, relaxed and focused despite negativities , easing things around you. Try to meditate atleast 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes before going to bed at night. Do it and you shall see the difference yourself.
• Maintain Physical Distancing But Socially Attached: Yes to save yourself and your near and dear ones, you should maintain physical distancing but that doesn’t mean you shall be unsocial. Connect with your friends and loving ones over the phone say for a video call or like that. Chat with them nearly all things but exam. Discuss about that favourite sport, movie, music or hangout point of yours. Connect with groups of friends at a time virtually and play your favourite dumb charade, online ludo or just laugh around. Trust me , you will feel much better
• Maintain a proper diet: It’s very important to have a proper diet. Avoid junk and fried food as much as possible no matter how tasty and attractive they seem. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated from within
• Give your body adequate sleep: Rejuvenate and relax your body by having an adequate sleep for at least 8 hours. If you feel that you aren’t having proper sleep, then tune on to your favourite music before sleeping and let your mind relax. Don’t keep any baggage while going to sleep
• Distract Yourself from Social Media: Yes, you should connect with your friends though virtually but try to distract yourself from your smart phones and entertaining social media pages as much as you can. This would not only make you de-motivated, but in turn may make you more stressed out by blurting out cheap and fake news and rumours.
• Revise Wisely and Smartly: At this point of time , try to revise whatever you have already studied . Make points and jot down. Focus on the key areas. Learn from your previous mistakes and Don’t learn anything new now. This would derail the base already prepared by you.
• Unwind yourself by talking with your family members : Remember that your parents are your best friends. Talk to them in between about yourself . Ask their opinions about certain things. Help your father in getting his medicines or spectacles ready or give a visit to the kitchen to see what favourite is your mom making today. If you have keen interest in gardening spend a few minutes at the garden just to watch your loving bud blooming or pamper the green leaves.
• Do overcome fear : Lastly and most importantly say a big No to all kinds of fear and pessimism. Stay focused and determined in your goals. Remember that a strenuous learning can never fetch you fruitful results..
