About KVPY Exam
Eligibility Criteria
- KVPY Fellowships are given to Indian Nationals to study in India.
- Stream SA: This stream is targeted towards Class 11th students belonging to science stream in the current academic year. It is important for them to have secured a minimum of 75 percent marks in aggregate in two subjects i.e., Mathematics and Science in their class 10th. With this, it is significant to note that the fellowship of these students will only be activated only if they take the science stream in their graduation. If all these pre-requisites are met, a student is eligible for the aptitude test.
- Stream SX: This stream is centred around students who are presently in class 12th and pursuing their studies in subjects related to science. They should also have secured a minimum of 75 percent marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Science in class 10th to be eligible for the aptitude test. Also, these students must be interested to take up only science subjects in their graduation to avail the benefits of the KVPY fellowship program.
- Stream SB: This stream orbits around students who are in their first year of graduation and are pursuing their education in the subjects of basic science. The students must have attained at least 60 percent of marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Science in class 12th in order to be eligible for the aptitude test.

o SA/SX/SB: During 1st to 3rd years of B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math. /Integrated M.Sc. /M.S.
o Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 5000/-
o Annual Contingency Grant: Rs. 2000/-
o SA/SX/SB: During M.Sc./4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S./M.Math./M.Stat.
o Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 7000/-
o Annual Contingency Grant: Rs. 28000/-
