How harshly true is the Golden Management Quote:
WHEN SOMETHING IS FREE, YOU ARE THE PRODUCT
Hasn’t life become so comfortable, fun, and just amazing, ever since television entered into our lives? And more so now, with the end number of channels. All those awesome series, latest movies and so much more, seems to have lifted all of the stresses. Just one click and there you are in a world of your own! And the subscriptions are so affordable!!
Let’s slow down a bit here. Did you know that the discount that these channels offer or the free subscriptions many of us enjoy is not FREE really! And before proceeding, I would like to clarify that this blog is in no way an effort to talk against any brand per se. What I would like to bring to light is the fact that many such seemingly wonderful plans, packages, etc, there is something that we are losing out on.
A can of soda is not 25 or 30 bucks, it’s a lot more expensive. Similarly, social media is NOT free for sure!! So what is this hidden cost that is trying to surface?
What is it that is far more expensive and precious?
It is indeed the core of your entire existence. Your time is what gets robbed off while you sit in front of the idiot box for hours on end. And imagine the price your health will eventually have to pay with this insatiable thirst that the sodas have literally, immersed in our systems.
Coming back to the title of this blog,’ when something is free, you are the product.’
You see life is a very precious commodity and we must think of ways of enriching it, and not depleting it. Once the waste occurs, it’s not possible to reverse the action. A lot goes into what and how we give shape to our daily activities, which speaks about the human being you will eventually emerge. We all want to achieve success and make it big someday, but what is it that we are doing about it, is what matters most.
Please keep your eyes and ears open at all times, and do not fall into the trap of becoming the product if and when something is being offered to you for free. There is always a catch there.
