Every year more than 15 lac students appear for the NEET exam. Only a few students will get admission to central and state government colleges as they have limited seats. There was a time when many states had their own medical entrance exam. But now, NEET is the only exam to get admission to a medical college. Despite having so much competition, the number of NRI students who appear for the NEET exam has also increased. So, finding the best resource for NEET preparation is very important.

Coaching institutes of different statuses have come up, some being costly, while others being extremely costly, to be afforded by those born with a golden spoon in their mouth. The coaching institutes also vary on their quality of subject material, subject faculties, frequency of tests,  provision or absence of counseling sessions, & many other small & big factors — that create differences among them as well as raise their market value.

Again, the purchasing power of the parents of the NEET aspirants decides, which one to select for their child.

Again, these coaching institutes assure the parents & students that everything will be super smooth and that the student will not face any issues. Many a time things don’t fall in place and the promises that were made at the time of admission come crashing down.

A lot of good & bad factors are ruling this coaching industry. Students do a lot of research to select a coaching Centre for themselves so that they can enter their dream college.

This scenario was very popular before 2020.

But in 2020, a big change occurred in the field of Entrance preparations. Actually it hot not just the entire education system, but almost everything under the sun was impacted! The sudden outbreak of COVID 19, all over the globe, has broken the infrastructure of all kinds of services.

In mid-March of 2020, the entire world faced a term — LOCKDOWN- to control the COVID outbreak. Other than basic necessities, everything faced closure for an indefinite period. It was a period of fear, anxiety, uncertainty.

The education industry was at its worse, as there was a total shut down in schools, colleges, universities, coaching institutes, co-curricular activity institutes too.

Students all over the world collectively faced an awkward situation,  that was never heard of before. There had been an outbreak of epidemics & pandemics earlier also in different parts of the world but never before did the entire world got affected for a single cause.

The education system faced a total breakdown as till 2021, no permission came to open educational & coaching institutes. The students were at a loss academically, psychologically, and emotionally. As, all of a sudden, the restriction of the shutdown came on the education sector, this industry was not ready to meet the needs of learners in any alternative mode. And this emerged as a global challenge.

But human civilization has gone through developments as & when required.

During this period, the students became  NET BUGS as they had nothing to study, and understandably so, because not a single soul had any idea of what the next step should/must be. In India, the final exams couldn’t get over, as mid-way the LOCKDOWN was enforced.

For the lower class students, it was a pure fun time, but for high school students, it was a very anxious stage. They were uncertain about their future. They were scared that if the date of entrance exams are declared, how will they pass as they couldn’t attend their coaching.

From this point came in mind the use of Internet & online modes present for educational purposes, as being locked in the home, how long & how much one can play games on mobile sets, video players, computers. Anything in excess brings dissatisfaction!

Besides parents started becoming understandably worried about the academic aspect of their children during the lockdown as the possibility of tuition teachers too, could not be considered.

Slowly, but surely they started exploring the internet platforms where they could get some help.

The mock test facility was made available for quite a long period, even study materials were also available, but online was never a preferred mode of majority when JEE or NEET was concerned.

But to great surprise, students found that there were several apps available on the internet to meet their needs. Now they started looking at their qualities, &, gradually they discovered that there are different apps with their merits being diverse.

Some are special for physics, some for chemistry, some for biology while some are good for all the subjects, some have a very good standard of study materials, while some have online doubt clearing session availability, while some have the facility to post the doubt, which will be picked up by subject experts at a particular time, posting the answers for the learners in return; some have classroom sessions, while some don’t have the same;  some have a very high standard of expertise, some provide online counseling sessions to help the learners attend them to be confident so that they can join the college of their dreams.

Some arrange for mock tests, some post questionnaires, some do both.

With an infinite variety of goodness available in these apps, coaching institutes working on online mode, it has become another test for students to select which one is the best resource to prepare for NEET!

Before 2020, coaching institutes were the favorite mode, but from the time of the outbreak of COVID, ONLINE PLATFORMS are the 1st choice. They are quite convenient in so many aspects. They save the traveling time between school or home to coaching institutes. Students can open them at their convenient time, other than online classrooms when going on, they can be used as per subject requirement or even depending upon the mood of the learner.

Again these apps are payable & non-payable too. Their prices vary as per their course design. Students can install as many apps they can afford or need.

Similarly, coaching institutes also vary as per their study materials, expertise working with them, accessibility level, etc.

Of late, all around the world work is going on to improve the online coaching model & make it available to every stratum & in multiple languages.

Students need to be cautious too in hiring these institutes or while installing the apps.

They must check the feedback left by users or ex-students, successful candidates before they make a decision for them. The apps & coaching institutes started competing among themselves to make them more student-friendly & to help the learners achieve their dreams.

VMC is also a very popular online coaching platform & during the COVID period VMC served their students very sincerely & reached an unexpected height. Their students were highly successful by using their online coaching.

VMC is open to any such feedback from their users to make it more & more helpful & useful for their students.

THANK YOU FOR TRUSTING VIDYAMANDIR CLASSES.
