The KVPY selection is done on the basis of an all-Indian written aptitude test conducted by  IISc Bangalore in Hindi and English at various centers across the country. The three-hour-long online exam is divided into four-section physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology subjects carrying a total of 260 marks.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan  Yojana (KVPY) 2021 was postponed multiple times because of the COVID -19 outbreak.   KVPY 2021 is now slated to be held on 22nd  May 2022.

Admit cards for KVPY 2022 are to be released soon;  after that students who have registered themselves for the exam will be able to download their Admit cards using KVPY user ID &  password.

    KVPY 2021 Exam Day Instructions:–

(Plz take a printout  of the guidelines given below for personal use & put a ✔ mark against each point (*)   to be sure that you have ensured each of them for yourself to be confident when you start your journey to the venue)

* Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least 1 hour before the exam time.

* They won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall after 9 am. 

* Candidates must carry KVPY Admit Card along with a valid Photo ID Proof-like–

 School/ College ID, Passport, Aadhar Card, along with  clear copies of  passport photograph, etc ;

 Details and photographs on the KVPY Admit Card must match with the particulars mentioned on the application form. May have to produce the same to the invigilator on request.

* Pen/Pencil, sheets for rough work will be provided at exam hall.

* Virtual calculators will be provided.

*  Candidate found practicing any unfair means during the exam duration will result in cancellation of his / her candidature.

* Students must know & follow the instructions carefully about how to answer questions.  Check with online mock tests in advance to avoid confusion.

* Use the option   ‘mark for review’,  for moving to the next question, when you are not able to answer a question. At any point in time, you can come back to it and finally give the answer.

*  Drinking water facility will be available at the exam centre. 

However, candidates can bring water bottles to the centre provided it is transparent.

** Due to any technical issues, if the examination is not started at the designated time, candidates must follow the instructions given by the invigilators present. 

* Be sure you are not taking any Electronic items inside the exam hall.

* In case of completion of the exam before the given time, candidates will have to sit in the exam hall for complete exam hours. You cannot leave the hall till the exam hour is over.

# Students must not carry anything to the exam hall except Admit card, Photo ID and photographs.

# Any stationery items such as  books, magazines, paper chits, pencil box/Geometry instruments, Plastic Pouch, Pen, Calculator, Scale, Pen Drive, Eraser, Log Table, Calculator, Scanner/Electronic Pen, etc

# Any communication and electronic devices such as Bluetooth device, Mobile Phone, Earphones, Microphone, Watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, or any electrical gadgets, etc

# Items such as Wallet, Handbags, Cap, Belt, etc. 

# Any ornaments such as Earrings, Ring, Nose-pin, Pendants, Chain/Necklace, Badge, etc

# Eatables or liquids, opened or closed, inside the exam hall. 

#Any other metallic item.

As per the COVID 19 safety guidelines, candidates must wear good quality masks & Gloves.

Must carry Sanitizer & 

Essential sanitary things.

👉👉 Students without the Admit Card and valid ID will not be permitted to appear for the Aptitude test.

THERE IS NO PRESCRIBED KVPY DRESS CODE. . All are requested to put on decent dress & be on formal dress. Turning out in Casuals is not expected.

Male candidates to take as advised note that they wear light-colored half sleeve shirts/T-shirts.  Full sleeve shirts are not allowed on the day of the examination.

 The buttons must be small & preferably non-metallic on the piece of clothing to avoid any undesired situation. 

No traditional wear like a kurta or pajama or Bermuda is allowed. 

Female candidates are advised to wear light-colored, half sleeve kurtas or tops, with small buttons, preferably nonmetallic to avoid any unexpected situation.

 Use of brooch, flowers, bangles, jewelry, etc is not permissible.
