“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.”

– Henry B. Adams

The battle of Kurukshetra observed timeless wisdom – Krishna singing without the flute, happily wiping away the tears of Arjuna. In the war of life, the biggest battle will be with yourself, he said and whatever happens, will be for good. From believing in oneself to finding the bliss within, he preached. The fruits of action should not be the motive, one has control only over the deeds. Being devoted, offering service and bowing to him will make us reach him, he promised. In enlightening Arjuna’s life path, Krishna is a supreme teacher- the godhead proved.

It’d be a privilege if his birthday is observed as Teacher’s Day, Dr S. Radhakrishnan requested. Knowledge is the power and true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves, the President of India (from 1962-67) believed.

India has been fortunate enough to have had the privilege of budding some of the finest teachers. Be it Rabindranath Tagore who reinvented the concept of ‘gurukul’ to APJ Abdul Kalam who was a huge advocate of education as the primary driving force of personal growth. From Swami Vivekananda’s unwavering belief in individual potential to Savitribai Phule who was the female teacher of India’s first women’s school; and recently the Padma Shri awardee a hundred plus year old Nanda Prusty from Odisha who taught children under the shades of the tree, and always pushed them to dream for the skies. India’s crown is jeweled with unending spirits and zeal of people who have travelled far and beyond in the realms of education to allow the nation to stand proudly on its feet.

While we bow our heads to thank the teachers in the past who have led India to such great heights, our hearts our swelled with pride and happiness as we pay our sincere gratitude to all the existing teachers who are offering their best in transforming the lives of students while making this world a beautiful place to live in.

VMC has been part of a learning journey for over million students and the number is continuing to flourish as our ambition, and motivational desire to change students’ lives grows. Stemmed from the idea “education for all”, Mr. Brij Mohan Gupta, Mr. Shyam Mohan Gupta. Mr. Manmohan Gupta, Mr. Sandeep Mehta and Mr. Saurabh Kumar leaves no stone unturned in encouraging students to pursue their dreams. Apart from being the founders and exceptional teachers, they are also great mentors who wouldn’t be anywhere but right beside the students- inspiring and guiding their lives in the direction of growth and fulfilment.

As we celebrate teachers’ infinite efforts and greatness, we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for making us shine brighter than the stars in the night sky!
