The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023) 75% eligibility criteria have been revised by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for applicants who meet the requirements for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. The official announcement states that students who obtained at least 75% marks in their Class 12 exam or who were in the top 20% of their class will also be qualified for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs, where admission is determined by JEE (Main) rankings.
After hearing multiple requests for modifying the requirement of 75% marks in the Class 12 test, the NTA amended the eligibility requirements for JEE Main 2023. “Candidates who qualify for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs whose admissions are based on JEE (Main) ranks must have scored at least 75% of marks or rank in the top 20% of their respective Boards’ Class 12 examinations.” According to the NTA, the minimum required percentage for SC/ST candidates in the Class 12 examination is 65%.
Meanwhile, NTA has stated that the JEE Main exam registration period will close on January 12, 2023. (up to 9 pm). Today by 11:50 p.m., applicants can submit their application fees. The exam for the January session will be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2023.
