Mindfulness is primarily a therapeutic technique that helps you perform to your highest potential & can be used in all possible areas of life. Being mindful is a mental state achieved by focussing on one’s awareness of the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

How can mindfulness be beneficial in the life of a student?
Students who engage in mindful movement activities can see a multitude of benefits, including increased strength and energy, better posture, reduced stress, and improved attentiveness, self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-care habits.
It is understandable that a lot of expectations are there from a student. He/she has a lot to prove to themselves, as well as, emerging as a good example in front of their peers, siblings, parent, and the whole society. It is a lot of work, and there may be points where the burden of all these expectations might weigh you down.
In order to keep the focus intact, you need to take care of yourselves in ways that you may not have been familiar with. And this is where the ability to remain mindful of your habits, surroundings, and thought process, comes in.

JEE & NEET, along with all other competitive exams, require a lot of hard work in terms of preparation. The big fat syllabus might give sleepless nights to many! But the fact remains that you have to take all of that stress in good stride. Because all’s well, that end’s well!! Practice the art of focussing on one subject, one topic, etc, at a time. Don’t make a mess in your brain by picking up ten different things!
TAKE IT EASY
If you are unable to concentrate then please reschedule your study time. Yes, it is important to study but if you are unable to concentrate then all of that time spent with your books will be a waste. If you have a timetable in place then this problem will never surface.
EAT SENSIBLY
Food is fuel & therefore, it becomes our responsibility to eat mindfully, or sensibly. Indulge in food that keeps you refreshed. Always stay hydrated. Avoid consuming heavy dishes that make you drowsy & sleepy. Eat what your brain needs at the time when you have examinations on your head. Get enough rest also, but be particular while choosing your pick.
KEEP YOUR MOBILE & TELEVISION TIME UNDER CHECK
I’m sure most of you know how inappropriate & damaging can gadgets be. So use them wisely.
ACT
In order to be productive, you ought to be an action seeker. If you act in an appropriate manner with relevance to the situation & given time, you will undoubtedly find yourself making the best of moves.
MEDITATE
This may be a bit of a put-off to many of you! No one is asking you to start doing yoga or anything like that. But if you can spare just 5 minutes of the day, every day, and just keep a check on your breathing pattern. And once you are able to do so, will you understand the significance of this practice.
